두두룩터는 도시와 공공미술 사이에 솟아오른 응접 장소이다. 유진상가 지하 홍제천의 비일상적 경험을 연장하고 내부와 외부의 경계를 연결하는 이음의 공간이다. 이곳에 위치한 원형 언덕은 홍제천 주변에서 유기적인 대지의 일부이자 독립된 쉼터로 기능하여 능동적으로 감상하고 쉴 수 있는 역할을 한다. 또한 유진상가부터 내부순환도로까지 홍제천의 주변 도시 상황에 유연하게 분리되고 연결된 열린 영역을 형성한다. 
“ 보물처럼 숨어있는 ‘홍제유연’의 공공 미술작업은 유진상가 지하 홍제천의 구조물과 함께 묘한 비일상적인 경험을 주고 있다 ~ 복합적인 주변 도시 상황으로부터 가볍게 분리된 장소로 일탈 장소가 되며 쉼의 공간이 된다. 열린 공간이지만 구분된 영역을 갖고 있으며, 움직임을 만들지만 동시에 쉼표를 찍는다. 원형 언덕의 자연성은 시작과 끝이 없고 무한한 방향성을 갖는다. 경계가 모호한 언덕들은 독립된 오브제 같으면서 동시에 주변 복합적 상황과 맞물린다.”

The Duduruk (meaning swollen in the middle in Korean) ground is a reception place that is rising between the city and the public arts. It is a space of connection that extends the unusual experiences at Hongjecheon on the underground floor of Yujin Sangga and connects the boundaries of the interior and the exterior. The round slope of this place functions as part of an organic land site around Hongjecheon as well as an independent resting area, letting people actively appreciate the place and take a rest there. And it forms an open space that is separated and connected flexibly according to the conditions of the surrounding areas of Hongjecheon, from Yujin Sangga to Naebu Expressway.
